Now for a treat. I’ve been lucky enough to dine at Yauatcha twice now and both times have been exceptional. Falling under the Hakkasan Group, there is similar focus on style, luxury, quality and delicious food. Although, situated about a stones throw away from SOHOs biggest sex shop, Yauatcha has endured in its unassuming corner on Broadwick St for a decade, understandably so.

The moment you walk in the service is almost overwhelming, there are hostesses, waiters, waitresses, bar staff, what seems to be general overseers, all immaculately presented and there to cater to your every need.

We tried a whole range of dim sum all as exciting and delicately balanced as the next. There has obviously been a lot of thought and skill into every thing on the menu, all adding to the Yauatcha experience. The cocktails are also wild and creative, worth exploring a few over an evening for sure! The deserts. Wow, the deserts. If you have space after the dim sum and the numerous cocktails, you have to try one of the equally well executed puds. We went for the macaroons, amazing.

Its rare to find a place that ticks every one of my personal boxes when it comes to dining, but this place does. You do pay for the experience, which is why it is most definitely a treat! However, they have some signature menus for both lunch and dinner, which may minimise the hit to your pocket. If you’re looking to impress or you have a special occasion coming up, Yauatcha would be on my list.

interestingly enough, they have another restaurant in India. A big hit!
